EVALUATION:

These tests were done in conjunction with Alternative Rentals as an initial test between the images produced by the RED One MX sensor and Sony F35 to SR444.  No image enhancements, manipulation, or additional processing steps were taken, other than the single step to transcode to TIFF.  In the case of SR tape, images needed to be captured UC10bit prior to creating TIFF exports.  SR tape remains the industry standard for F35 image capture and therefore was chosen in this test as the recording medium.  Images are best evaluated at 1:1 resolution.  They are PSD files, so once downloaded, you will need to save them to disk and open them in Adobe Photoshop for the dual evaluation.  If you have any questions, you wish to see more of the test results, or to see them projected, please contact LIGHTIRON at info@lightirondigital.com
